Johnny Maddox RIP

This is a set of music played in memory of Johnny Maddox by Steven Steinberg on his show In the Red on KOTO Radio in Telluride. His show ends at Keep on Rockin in the Fee World . I threw in a little more of an hour of music for Johnny at the end.

This is a recording from the show Blues Stage, a now defunct NPR Blues program. It was recorded in Telluride, Colorado, produced by Geoff Hanson and Toby Garrett of Big Daddy Music and KOTO Radio.

 

There is a bonus encore of Taj Mahal at the Sheridan Opera House on 2/26/91, another Big Daddy Music concert. 

Away from the Mire Jams 2022

Billy Strings has completely knocked me out in 2022. I've seen him play Away form the Mire three times live, listened to it live on Mixlr and on Nugs.net and during the jam in the song  I constantly think to myself, "this is some of the best music I have ever heard."

 

Here are 7 different jams from 2022. The set starts out with St Augustine form 4/30 and ends with it as well as it is honestly one of the most amazing pieces of music I've ever heard. In the second version, I layed the track on top of itself with roughly a half a seocnd delay and it creates a very cool effect. It sounds liek there are 20 guitars playing.

It's great ambient music, cool to have on when you're just toooling around, and suddenly the music pulls you in and you go, "wow" just wow.
